Trump’s Inaguration Will Be The FIRST Since Reagan’s To Have This…
One of the things that I think a lot of people who don’t like Donald Trump don’t quite understand is that at the end of the day, he wants to bring as many people together from all walks of life for the common goal of making out country great.
Certainly sounds like a former President of the United States that also happened to win an Oscar….
President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration is fast approaching. All the past living Presidents, except for George H.W. Bush, will be attending. Even Hillary Clinton will be attending with Bill Clinton which should be quite interesting.
There’s also been a lot of speculation about what performers might be attending. But there’s something else that hasn’t been widely reported.
From Allen B. West: Here’s another thing that’s not getting much airplay. Trump’s inauguration is shaping up to be one of the most faith-based in a very long time, with six religious figures speaking, including Franklin Graham, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, pastor Paula White and Rev. Samuel Rodriguez of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.
But it’s his inclusion of Rabbi Marvin Hier, the dean and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles, which really sets his inauguration apart. It’s been 30 years since a Jewish rabbi has been invited to pray during a presidential inauguration. The last one was Rabbi Alfred Gottschalk, head of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, during Ronald Reagan’s 1985 ceremony.
Rabbi Hier is expected to do readings, offer a prayer, give a benediction over both Trump and Vice President-elect Pence.
Hier earlier this week condemned the anti-Israel resolution that the administration of Barack Obama allowed to pass.
Hier and the Wiesenthal Center identified the U.N. condemnation as the top anti-Semitic incident of 2016.
There has also been speculation about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attending the inauguration.
